Cyclosporin and Tacrolimus (AQ) Ophthalmic Suspension is a potent combination medication used to treat chronic eye conditions in pets, particularly those caused by immune-mediated diseases. This ophthalmic suspension is specifically formulated to provide relief from conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) or dry eye and other inflammatory ocular diseases.

Indications:

  • Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) or dry eye syndrome
  • Chronic superficial keratitis
  • Other immune-mediated ocular conditions

Dosage Information:

  • Dogs: Typically, 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 2-3 times daily, as directed by your veterinarian.
  • Cats: Dosage and frequency as prescribed by your veterinarian.
  • Duration: Follow your veterinarian's instructions and continue the treatment as prescribed to maintain eye health.

How to Administer:

  1. Shake the bottle well before each use.
  2. Tilt your pet’s head back slightly and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
  3. Apply 1 drop of the suspension into the pocket.
  4. Release the eyelid and allow your pet to blink to spread the medication over the eye surface.
  5. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface, including the eye or hands, to prevent contamination.

Precautions:

  • Not for use in pets with known hypersensitivity to Cyclosporin, Tacrolimus, or any other ingredients in the formulation.
  • Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals.
  • Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

Side Effects:

  • Mild stinging or irritation upon application
  • Rarely, more serious side effects such as vision changes, severe discomfort, or signs of an allergic reaction (swelling, itching) may occur. Contact your veterinarian if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.

Storage:

Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not refrigerate or freeze.
