Frequently asked questions

Does Crananidin prevent UTIs in dogs?

Crananidin supports urinary tract health: its PACs help discourage E. coli bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. It is not an antibiotic and does not treat an existing infection — if your dog shows urinary signs, see your veterinarian.

How does cranberry extract work for urinary health?

Proanthocyanidins (PACs) in cranberry extract help make it harder for bacteria to stick to the lining of the urinary tract, so they are more likely to be flushed out naturally. Crananidin uses a cranberry extract developed to veterinary research specifications.

How many Crananidin tablets should I give per day?

From 1/4 tablet daily for dogs under 10 lb up to 2 1/2 tablets for dogs 80–100 lb — see the weight chart above or follow your veterinarian's directions.

Can cats take Crananidin?

No — Crananidin is labeled for dogs only. Ask your veterinarian about urinary support options for cats.
