Safety Information
Meloxicam should not be used in animals that are allergic to it or similar drugs. Meloxicam should not be used in animals with bloody stools/vomit, kidney or liver conditions, any condition making them susceptible to dehydration, are anorexic, have loss of appetite, or are taking other NSAIDs like carprofen or aspirin. Meloxicam should be used cautiously in cats, dogs under 6 months in age, animals that have had or had stomach/gastrointestinal ulcers, animals with heart problems, animals that are pregnant or breeding, animals with a bleeding disorder, and animals that are old. Possible side effects are rare, but serious ones include: Appetite loss, vomiting, bowel movement changes, behavioral / activity level changes, jaundice, drinking changes, and skin changes. Report any side effects to your veterinarian as soon as they occur.
