Ponazuril (Compounded) For Pets (Anti-Parasitic)

Ponazuril is an effective antiprotozoal medication used primarily to treat protozoal infections such as coccidiosis in dogs and cats. It targets the parasites responsible for these infections, helping to eliminate them and prevent further health complications.

Usage:

• Dosage for Dogs and Cats:
  • The typical dosage of ponazuril is 5-10 mg/kg (2.3-4.5 mg/lb) of body weight, administered once daily for 2-3 days. 
  • For Truitrichomonas infection, the recommended dosage of ponazuril in cats is 20 mg/kg (9.1 mg/lb) of body weight, administered once daily for 14 days.
  • The exact dosage and duration may vary based on the severity of the infection and your pet’s specific needs. Always follow your veterinarian's instructions.

Administration:

Compounded Suspension: Shake well before use. Measure the dose carefully using a syringe or measuring device. Administer directly into your pet’s mouth or mix with a small amount of food to ensure the entire dose is consumed.ew medication for your pet. If your pet has not been seen by us physically within the last 12 months, a consultation is necessary to prescribe medication or a prescription from your vet.
